We’re committed to creating a more sustainable community. One way we’re doing this is by supporting the shift from petrol and diesel vehicles to electric vehicles (EVs).

Transport is a major contributor to greenhouse gas emissions and electrifying how we travel is an important step toward reducing our environmental impact.

As Victoria’s electricity grid moves toward renewable energy, driving an EV becomes even cleaner — helping us all move closer to a zero-emissions future.

Where you’ll find our EV chargers

To make EV charging more accessible, we’ve installed chargers at three convenient locations:

• Glen Eira Town Hall (near Caulfield Library)
• Murrumbeena Park Community Hub
• Carnegie Memorial Swimming Pool

These chargers are available for anyone to use, free of charge. Please check the signage at each site for time limits, which range from two to four hours, so everyone gets a fair go.

Installing EV chargers is just one of the ways we are working toward a greener Glen Eira. It complements our broader sustainability initiatives, which focus on reducing emissions, supporting renewable energy, and helping our community make environmentally responsible choices. By providing EV infrastructure, we’re making it easier for residents and visitors to choose cleaner transport options.
