Bentleigh Hodgson Reserve sporting facility upgrades

We’re about to build new sports training facilities at Bentleigh Hodgson Reserve to better meet the needs of the community and local sporting clubs.

What’s happening?

We’re removing the two underused tennis courts and a club house on the western side of the Reserve to:

  • build a brand-new netball training court with LED sports lighting
  • add two new lanes to the existing three-lane cricket training facility.

When’s it happening?

Works are due to begin in mid-June and will be completed by late October, weather permitting.

What are the impacts?

Works will take place between 7am–4pm on weekdays and 8am–4pm on Saturdays, if required. During this time, you may notice some noise and dust from the worksite, and our contractors will do their best to minimise this.

Our contractor will set up temporary fencing around the southern tennis courts and cricket net facility during the works. Unfortunately, during this time, the cricket nets will not be accessible for use.

You may notice more construction traffic in the area, especially on Bolinda Street, while work is underway. We'll do our best to keep any inconvenience to a minimum.

This project is being delivered by Glen Eira City Council in partnership with the Victorian Government.
