For Wear It Purple this year, Youth Services from participating local government areas are coming together to showcase artworks representing LGBTIQA+ young people, experiences and perspectives.
Wear it Purple Make Your Mark Bookmark Competition 2025
We’re calling all high school aged young people (12-18 years old) to submit their best artwork for a chance to be displayed during the Glen Eira Youth Services, Youth Art Exhibition 2025 and printed as a bookmark!
20 bookmarks from each municipality will be digitally displayed at our Youth Art Exhibition.
One winner from Glen Eira will have their bookmark printed and available across Glen Eira Libraries for a limited time.
This is the first collaboration event with the Pride South East Alliance
What is the Pride South East Alliance?
Glen Eira has formed the Pride South East Alliance with neighbouring councils to strengthen a collaborative and strategic approach to LGBTIQA+ work in the region.
Submissions
Closing date for submissions: 11.59pm Sunday 10 August
Submit your artwork
Entrants must, live, work or study within the city of Glen Eira.
- Download the template from this page and complete the registration form below.
- Upload a picture of your artwork - this must be uploaded at the same time as the registration form.
Please note a digital copy of your artwork will be used in the digital display of the exhibition on Instagram.
All details must be completed in the registration form.
Entrants under the age of 18 must obtain their parents or guardians’ consent. If unable the entrant will be displayed as anonymous or first name and age only.
If you use photographs in your entry, you must receive consent from all people featured to be displayed in this exhibition and published online through Council’s website and social media platforms.
Prizes
There will be one winner!
The winner will have their artwork printed on a limited run of bookmarks that will be available in all Glen Eira Library branches.
