Empower students to take real action on climate change at school and beyond.
Climate action for schools
Equip your school with the knowledge and tools to understand and respond to the climate emergency, with access to practical kits and curriculum‑aligned resources. Our team provides guidance on reducing emissions, improving energy efficiency and supporting climate action across your school community.
Resources and learning materials
Introduce students to energy use and climate impacts through hands-on learning:
- Infrared thermometer (available to borrow) — investigate temperature, energy use and efficiency across your school
- Cool.Org curriculum-linked resources — climate change lesson plans, courses and other teaching materials to support environmental learning across year levels

ResourceSmart School Audit
The Energy Audit Tool is a step-by-step guide to investigate and record information on energy use at your school, including lighting, heating, cooling and appliances. You can analyse this data to find ways to use less energy, reducing your energy bills and greenhouse gas emissions.
Active travel to school
Active travel includes walking, riding, scooting, skipping and many other fun ways to get to school. It helps reduce traffic and congestion around the school, making streets safer and more accessible. At the same time, it encourages regular physical activity and supports a healthier environment.
We are working with local schools and Bicycle Network to deliver behaviour change programs that help encourage active travel at local schools. Learn about the program, tips for active travel and how to get involved at Active travel to school.
