Caulfield Park Neighbourhood Activity Centre — Amendment C243glen

The land affected by the Amendment is the commercially zoned land within the Caulfield Park Neighbourhood Activity Centre (the Centre).

The Amendment proposes to introduce a new planning control to the Glen Eira Planning Scheme underpinned by the built form recommendations of the adopted Caulfield Park Neighbourhood Activity Centre Built Form Framework (September 2021). The planning control will introduce a new Schedule 12 to the Design and Development Overlay at Clause 43.02 (DDO12) of the planning scheme.

The Amendment also proposes to insert the Caulfield Park Neighbourhood Activity Centre Built Form Framework (September 2021) into the planning scheme as a Background Document.

Proposed DDO12 will provide clarity to landowners, businesses, residents and the broader community about acceptable building form and design within the Centre. DDO12 will give Council more capacity to assess the suitability of planning applications and aim to help us retain the local character of the Centre while ensuring it remains an enjoyable place to shop, live, work and gather.
