Disabled parking permits

We offer free disabled parking permits as part of the state-wide Disabled Parking Permit Scheme. You can get a permit if you have a significant mobility, intellectual, or psychological disability that requires specific parking access.

Types of permits

Two types of permits are available:

Category 1 — Blue permit

A blue permit allows you to park in an allocated disabled parking bay. It also allows you to park in time-restricted areas for twice the permitted time. For example, you’re permitted to park in a 2P area for four hours.

Category 2 — Green permit

A green permit allows you to park in any normal parking bay for twice the permitted time displayed on the parking sign. It doesn’t allow you to park in an allocated disabled bay.

The above permits don’t allow you to park where there is a red restrictive parking sign such as No Stopping, Loading Zone, Bus Zone etc.
