Community Safety, Cohesion, Health and Wellbeing Advisory Committee

Our Community Safety, Cohesion, Health and Wellbeing Advisory Committee was established in 2025.

This committee advises Council on how to support a community that is safe, connected and healthy. Members will help guide work related to:

  • improving community safety

  • fostering social cohesion

  • delivering arts, culture and events that build connection

  • promoting physical and mental health

  • preventing all forms of violence, including family violence

  • supporting healthy lifestyles and reducing harm

  • responding to the impacts of climate change on health

The committee ensures the needs of people at all life stages — including people with disability, those experiencing disadvantage and people from culturally diverse backgrounds — are reflected in Council’s work.
