Mentoring and networking

Glen Eira's business community understands the importance of staying connected, sharing knowledge and collaborating to overcome challenges. We offer a diverse range of mentoring and networking programs designed to help you at every stage of the business lifecycle.

COVID-19 Peer-to-Peer Mentoring Program

The Peer-to-Peer Mentoring Program aims to tap into the creativity, knowledge and commitment of skilled expert volunteers from all levels and areas of the business community, creating connections and helping to build resilience and skills of local traders.

Mentor Partners Program

Our Mentor Partners Program, a joint initiative with Kingston City Council, provides support and guidance to help you develop your small business.

Co-working in Glen Eira

Co-working is when different business owners and professionals share office space. It creates a collaborative environment and a sense of community which you may not get from working in isolation.

Business Women's Network

The Business Women's Network allows you to connect with like-minded women in business and employment. Council supports two long-running women’s business groups Next Step, and Bright Side who meet regularly in Glen Eira.

Skills Swap

This Skills Swap initiative provides a platform for traders to help each other out by going online and offering a skill, capacity or function in return for an in-kind service from another — in a bartering arrangement with no payment involved.

Council regularly runs a number of events to help local businesses grow and continue to thrive.
