Town Hall signage update:

From 13–24 July, we will be installing new external signage around Glen Eira Town Hall. During this time, there may be short periods when some signs are temporarily unavailable. If you require assistance navigating the site, please speak with one of our staff members.

Strategic Transport Advisory Committee

Does deciding how to get from point A to point B get your gears moving? Does transportation fascinate you? If so, you may be just who we’re looking for to help us continue building an accessible, well-connected city.

Applications are now open for interested community members to join our Strategic Transport Advisory Committee.

The Strategic Transport Advisory Committee (STAC) is a group of Glen Eira residents (three councillors and four community members) that offers ideas and feedback on a broad array of issues relating to the way people get where they need to go in Glen Eira. This includes expressing opinions on sustainable transport projects, urban design, traffic and public transportation, and the needs of pedestrians.

We welcome applications from Glen Eira residents of all ages with backgrounds that could involve:

  • transport planning/strategic planning;
  • urban design;
  • public and community advocacy;
  • expertise in all-ability access;
  • support for walking, cycling and other forms of transport.

The role is non-voting and does not include acting or speaking on behalf of the Committee or Council. The roles are voluntary and non-remunerated. Members’ names are made publicly available on Council’s website and in meeting minutes that will be considered and endorsed at Glen Eira City Council meetings.
