Victorian Bushfire Emergency

The 2019/2020 Victorian Bushfire Emergency is currently affecting communities across the state. We will continue to keep you updated on our efforts to support communities affected by bushfires. To find out more and how you can support the Victorian Bushfire Appeal, visit our Victorian Bushfire Emergency page.

Community buses

We provide and maintain four community buses for use by not-for-profit organisations and community groups such as scouts and guides, schools and church groups.

Our buses are available 24 hours per day, 52 weeks per year. They include:

  • two 12-seater buses, holding a driver and up to 11 passengers
  • one 12-seater bus sponsored by Bendigo Bank, holding a driver and up to 11 passengers
  • one nine-seater bus with a wheelchair hoist and space for two wheelchairs.

How do I book a bus?

To book a community bus, call Connect Health Community Transport on 9575 5386.

If you want to hire a bus, you must complete an application form, agree to and sign our Conditions of Hire form, and provide a copy of your current drivers licence.

You don’t need a special drivers licence to drive the community buses, but you’ll need a full driver's licence. Probationary drivers can’t drive our buses.
