Statement of significance:

This tree fulfils the criteria of:

  • Aesthetic Value
  • Outstanding Habitat and Biodiversity Value

This tree is one of the larger trees in the street with a well-formed canopy providing significant coverage that particularly shades the cul-de-sac end of the street surface. The loss of the tree would impact the neighbourhood character and result in a loss of amenity for the local community.

The tree has been documented by several residents in the area as a nesting and roosting tree for Tawny Frogmouth Owls for numerous years. A minor infestation of Mistletoe within the canopy is also beneficial for a range of native wildlife
