This mature Manna Gum is situated in a prominent and iconic position within public parkland and is one of only a few mature examples of this species within Glen Eira City Council. It is an old tree predating a lot of the development activity and urban subdivision in the area, and has a significant trunk girth and canopy spread.

The canopy is entire and the tree provides a significant contribution to the neighbourhood character as an outstanding example of the species which attracts a range of native birdlife.
