    The tree is a prominent and iconic feature of the park that has substantial aesthetic value as it makes a major contribution to the landscape.

    As discussed in the 2018 Biodiversity in Glen Eira report, the island and all its trees have been documented as a roosting and breeding site for the Nankeen Night Heron.
