These 2 mature Spotted Gums are the largest, healthiest, and most established examples within the group of Spotted Gums growing in the vicinity of the stables in the South-East corner of the Racecourse. Both trees are in very good condition, with tall, well-formed, and spreading canopies that make a major contribution to the local landscape. They have the potential to provide substantially greater amenity to the community following the redevelopment of the Caulfield Racecourse for greater public access.

Given their health, structure, and size, both these trees are outstanding examples of the species within the local area and have the potential for many more years of life and benefit to the community.
