Carols in the Park

Our annual Carols in the Park Christmas event will be at Bentleigh Hodgson Reserve, Bentleigh on Saturday 14 December.

Join us for this year’s festive celebration, Carols in the Park. This event will feature, Anthony Callea, Melbourne Gospel choir and the Pevan and Sarah Christmas show.

ARIA award-winner Anthony Callea is one of Australia’s finest vocalists and performers. His debut single The Prayer became the highest and fastest selling single of all time in Australia.

Carols in the Park will be held from 5.30pm to 8.15pm at Bentleigh Hodgson Reserve, Higgins Road, Bentleigh. The evening’s festivities will feature Melbourne Gospel Choir, Glen Eira Band, Pevan & Sarah Christmas Show and a secret special guest in a red and white suit.

A wide selection of food will also be available.

What should I bring?

As Carols takes place in an open spaced park feel free to bring your pet, rugs, seating and picnic equipment. Please be aware of weather and bring sun protection or wet weather gear.

Carols takes place in an open spaced park so please feel free to bring rugs, seating or picnic blankets.

Are there any road closures or traffic things to know about?

No there’s no changes to normal traffic conditions.

Will there be food/drinks to purchase?

Yes there will be a selection of different food and drink to purchase on the evening.

What is the entertainment?

Main stage entertainment is hosted by Anthony Callea with live performances by: Pevan & Sarah Christmas Show, Melbourne Gospel Choir, Glen Eira Band, Roving performers by the Snow Queens and Face painting and craft activities. There is also a special guest in red and white for a merry evening of entertainment.

Will there be a songbook available on the night?

There won’t be a printed version of the songbook available this year however a downloadable version will be available in the week leading up to the event at and you can either print your own or read from your smart device on the night.

Can I bring my dog/pet?

Yes; dogs/pets are welcome at Carols in the Park as long as they are on a leash.

Can I smoke at the event?

No, all Glen Eira City Council events are smoke-free.
