    Strategies and plans

    We want to make Glen Eira better for everyone. It’s important for us to achieve a shared vision for the future, a community vision. To help us achieve this we use strategies and plans.

    Our strategies and plans work together

    Diagram showing Council’s planning and reporting framework. At the top is the 2040 Community Vision, which informs the Council Plan. Beneath this are Resource Plans, including asset, budget, financial, revenue and rating, and workforce plans. These flow into Strategic Plans and Service Plans, then into Action Plans, Business Plans, and Performance and Development Plans. Reporting occurs at each level through mid-year and annual reports, quarterly financial reports, and annual progress reports.

    Our Community tells us what they want and expect in the Community Vision and through our engagement activities.  

    Our Council Plan acts as our four-year roadmap to achieve our community’s aspirations.

    The Council Plan contains strategic directions (key themes) that guide our efforts. Our strategies and plans are connected to these strategic directions and give us more details about what we want to achieve for the community, and how we’ll do it.
