The Extra M.I.L.E Awards are a great opportunity for Glen Eira secondary schools and Glen Eira City Council to acknowledge the everyday wins an individual has accomplished. By recognising these achievements, the Awards support the empowerment of young people to reach their full potential.
The Extra M.I.L.E Awards
Nominations open from Monday 24 July until Friday 25 August.
Who is eligible?
To be eligible for the Extra M.I.L.E Award, students must be attending a secondary school in Glen Eira.
The nominee should be actively striving to do their best, have exhibited perseverance through adversity, or demonstrated positive decision-making and purposeful choices.
The guiding principles of the Awards are:
- Motivation to work through challenges
- Integrity in behaviour
- Learning from experience
- Empowering self and others
Nomination process
Each Glen Eira secondary school can nominate one student per secondary year level.
Nominations can be made via Smarty Grants.
Nominees will receive a certificate and a non-cash prize*.
*Prizes will support local Glen Eira businesses wherever possible.
