Funding partnerships and advocacy

Carnegie Memorial Swimming Pool is being redeveloped by Glen Eira City Council in partnership with the Victorian Government.

The total project cost is $75.3 million with funding contributions of:

Community Sports Infrastructure Loan Scheme has provided Council with a $10 million loan. The Victorian Government’s Scheme supports the delivery of community sport and recreation infrastructure by providing councils with access to low-interest subsidised loans.

Department of Families, Fairness and Housing has provided Council with Changing Places Funding of $110,000 to construct a Changing Places facility at Carnegie Memorial Swimming Pool. Changing Places transform lives, building a more universally inclusive future for everyone .

As part of the 22/23 Federal Election, the Federal Government also committed $15m in funding to the project. Council recently lodged the grant application to obtain this funding through the Priority Community Infrastructure Program.

As part of our advocacy efforts, we will continue to seek out grant opportunities and advocate to the Victorian and Australian Governments as the project progresses.
