This is one of only 2 known examples of this species of Eucalypt on public lands within Glen Eira and the only one within a reserve. This is the larger of the 2 trees and there are no known examples on private land at this time. The redevelopment of the sports pavilion at Lord reserve has been designed to accommodate this tree and will highlight it as an iconic feature.

This isolated tree is already prominent within the local landscape, providing significant canopy coverage. It makes a major contribution to the neighbourhood character.
