Tucker Ward Councillor Li Zhang is passionate about Glen Eira and is committed to helping make it Victoria’s best place to live, work and visit. She believes local government must listen to all its residents, put the interests of local residents front and centre, and deliver sustainable infrastructure and services that help communities to thrive and prosper. Cr Li Zhang was Deputy Mayor for the 2021/22 Council year.
Li has strong community connections from volunteering at schools, supporting multicultural artists, mentoring young people, and looking after local senior citizens groups.
Li is a small business owner in training and consulting sectors. She has an MBA from the University of Melbourne and 20 years of business experience.
Li has one teenage child. She is a trilingual speaker of Mandarin, Japanese and English. She enjoys hiking, reading and cooking.
