Youth Art Exhibition 2025 — Time and Space

Calling all young people aged five-25 years old to submit their best artwork to be displayed in our Youth Art Exhibition, Time and Space.

This annual event is hosted by Glen Eira Youth Services and Green Gecko Productions and will be held at the Glen Eira Town Hall Gallery.

The Youth Art Exhibition is dedicated to celebrating young people for their unique talents and their ability to interpret life through art. We are looking for a diverse range of artworks including 3D pieces or sculptures, digital artworks, paintings, drawing and photography.

Submissions

  • Opening date for submissions: Monday 2 June at 9am

  • Closing date for submissions: Friday 15 August at 5pm

Submit your artwork

*Entrants must, live, work or study within the city of Glen Eira.

Complete the registration form below, a picture of your artwork must be uploaded at the same time.

Please note a digital copy of your artwork will be used in the digital upload of the exhibition on Instagram.

Entries must be submitted by 5pm Friday 15 August.

Once you have submitted your online submission form, you will receive an email with details on how to drop off your artwork at the Glen Eira Town Hall Gallery (please note artwork will need to be collected from this location at the conclusion of the exhibition).

All details must be completed in the registration form.

Entrants under the age of 18 must obtain their parents or guardians’ consent.

You must receive consent from all people featured in photographs for the image to be displayed in this exhibition and published online through Council’s website and social media platforms.

Categories and prizes

Junior

  • Ages five–nine — prize to the value of $100
  • Ages 10–13 — prize to the value of $150

Senior

  • Ages 14–17 — prize to the value of $250
  • Ages 18–25 — prize to the value of $300 and solo exhibition in Gallery Two in 2026

People’s choice award

  • prize to the value of $150

There will be one winner for each entrant category!

Floor talk

Hear from members of Green Gecko Productions, Youth Services and 2024 18–25-year-old category winner, Alyssa Mercuri. Hear about the process in developing the event, considerations in choosing the theme and the importance of platforming young people’s contributions to the community.

Gallery Two Artist, Alyssa will talk about her experience from being announced winner of the 18 - 25 years category in 2024 to having her own exhibition alongside us this year!

Presentation night

Winners will be announced at the presentation night Thursday 4 September, 6pm-7.30pm at Glen Eira Town Hall Gallery.
