Active Schools — Go for Gold 2025

We are delighted to welcome nine schools and around 4,000 students to take part in our Active Schools — Go for Gold 2025 program, running from Monday 3 November to Friday 28 November.

Our Active Schools — Go for Gold program encourages primary school students to walk, ride, skate or scoot to/from school — helping build healthier, more active, inclusive and socially connected communities.

By choosing active travel, students also help reduce traffic congestion, improve safety around schools, and protect the environment.

Thanks to the following participating schools this year:

Bentleigh West Primary, Carnegie Primary, Caulfield Primary, Coatesville Primary, Japanese School of Melbourne, Kilvington Grammar, Murrumbeena Primary, Ripponlea Primary and St Joseph’s Primary.

Golden Ticket competition — for students

Students will receive an electronic Golden Ticket late October. Each time you walk, ride, skate or scoot to/from school, simply tick a box on your ticket and on your classroom calendar.

At the end of November, each school will select a winner of a $100 Rebel Sport Voucher, and we will award the interschool honours.

Interschool competition — for schools

The school with the highest Golden Ticket activity rate will be crowned Glen Eira’s Active Schools Champion 2025. The more students who get involved and record their activity, the stronger your school’s chance of taking home the title.
