Youth Art Exhibition — Unity in Community

Calling all interested artists aged 5–25 years old with a link to Glen Eira (live, work, study) to submit their best artwork to be displayed in our Youth Art exhibition, Unity in Community.

This annual event hosted by Glen Eira City Council’s Youth Leadership will now be online due to the COVID-19 lockdown and not at Glen Eira City Council Gallery. The exhibition highlights and celebrates young people for their unique talents and their ability to interpret life through art.

Entrant categories

Junior: 5–9 years and 10–13 years 

Senior: 14–17 years and 18–25 years


  • Ages 5–9 years — 1 x Art Supplies Hamper to the value of $100
  • Ages 10–13 years — $150 Westfield Voucher
  • Ages 14–17 years — $250 Westfield Voucher
  • Ages 18–25 years — $300 Westfield Voucher

Winners presentation

The presentation will be held via Zoom on Thursday 14 October at 5pm.

Entrants and their family members (aged 10-25) are then invited to join the Youth Leadership Team at the Arty After Party for a social game from 5.40pm to 6.30pm *places are limited. Register at

Submit your artwork

  • Complete the registration form below, and a picture of your artwork must be uploaded at the same time.
  • Please note a digital copy of your artwork will be used in the instances that the exhibition is moved online due to public health requirements.
  • Entries must be submitted by Thursday 23 September at 5pm.
  • You will be receiving an email with details of how to book a time to drop off your artwork.
  • Your personal details must be completed in the registration form.
  • Entrants under the age of 18 must obtain their parent or guardian’s consent.
  • You must receive consent from all people feature in photographs for their image to be displayed in this exhibition and published online through Council's website and social media platforms.
