About this application
The development is a nine storey building with three levels of basement, which comprises a performing arts centre, a museum (and associated administration areas) and coworking spaces in the form of offices.
Background
After a public consultation process and Council meeting, Council decided to issue a notice of decision to grant a planning permit on 4 September 2020. Objectors subsequently appealed the decision and the matter was scheduled for a hearing with VCAT. Before the matter could be heard with VCAT, on 30 March 2021 the Minister for Planning called in the matter and referred the application to the Priority Projects Standing Advisory Committee. The Priority Projects Standing Advisory Committee hosted an online roundtable discussion between 16 to 18 June and another discussion to be held between 24 to 25 June 2021. Parties attending the Roundtable include the Applicant, Council and objectors who lodged the VCAT appeal.
Parties will provide their own experts who will present during the course of the roundtable discussion.
These experts have circulated their evidence which is provided as attachments below.
