Health and beauty businesses are registered under the Public Health and Wellbeing Act 2008 and our environmental health officers inspect your business annually to ensure it operates in accordance with the Public Health and Wellbeing Regulations 2009.

I'm opening a new business

Before you open a new health and beauty business, you should discuss your proposal with one of our environmental health officers. You must then register with us before you start operating.

If you're buying an existing health and beauty business, you must also transfer its registration into your name or your company's name.
