Talking Shops: Glen Eira Stories

Talking Shops: Glen Eira Stories explores the distinctive character and cultures in the municipality’s centres and shopping strips, prompting community conversations, sharing stories across generations and exploring community attachment to place.

Whether still standing or just a memory, these shops and the people that run them are a unique record of a time, place, and a changing local retail scene. This exhibition brings together interviews by Aron Lewin and photographs by Tatiana CC Scott of Tales of Brick and Mortar alongside historic and contemporary photography, objects, and stories.

Talking Shops: Glen Eira Stories invites you to share your memories and step back in time to see how our community has changed.
