Recycling Electronic Waste

Join us for a free presentation about the issue of electronic waste, what are the disposal options and why it’s so important that these items are recovered and re-used.

Did you know that in Australia alone, around 1.5 million televisions and more than one million mobile phones are discarded every year? Televisions like other electrical items (DVD players, printers, computers and mobile phones etc.) contain valuable materials like copper, platinum and gold that can be re-used or recycled.

This is a huge issue and since 1 July 2019 the Victorian Government has banned e-waste from landfill.

Come and learn about all the options to repurpose or recycle electronic waste and what you can do to help solve this issue.

Places are limited so bookings are essential.
