Our vision is for Elsternwick to be a safe, connected, accessible and liveable centre which embraces its historic character and strong cultural and village feel.

It will be a destination for cultural events and entertainment, business and employment, and quality local retail outlets and community spaces, providing a socially, environmentally and economically sustainable future.

To achieve our vision, we have drafted the Elsternwick Structure Plan 2022. This robust long-term plan allows us to provide for growth and new development, while creating vibrant centres which enhance and protect the area's character.
