We are currently seeking expressions of interest (EOIs) for participation in the Glen Eira City Council Community Engagement Advisory Committee. The Committee provides leadership and advice to support Council’s community engagement approaches.
Community Engagement Advisory Committee
Four community representatives are being sought to participate in Council’s Community Engagement Advisory Committee to advise and support Council’s approach to community engagement. The Committee consists of three councillors and four community members who live, work, play, or study in the City of Glen Eira.
The Committee’s upcoming priorities include:
- A review of Council’s engagement framework including a new Community Engagement Strategy 2021.
- Implementation of the Community Engagement Policy which sets out our commitment to engaging with the community on matters that impact and affect them, as well as a process of deliberative engagement for the Community Vision, Council Plan, Financial Plan and Asset Plan.
- Overseeing new and innovative ways of engaging with the community in a changing landscape.
The term of the Committee is two years and meetings are held approximately four times per year.
