Reconciliation Action Plan 2020–2022

We are developing our second Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), working in partnership with a Reconciliation Advisory Group made up of Traditional Owners, community leaders and community members, an internal Reconciliation Working Group and overseen by Traditional Owners.

The RAP will cover a two-year period commencing in late 2020 and a draft will be submitted for endorsement to Council and Reconciliation Australia in the coming months. Your feedback will support the implementation of this important action plan.

The consultation has now closed.

How we will using your feedback

We will consider the results of this survey in collaboration with the internal working group, external community based advisory group and overseen by Traditional Owners. These groups will evaluate the feedback received and align it with actions outlined in Council’s new RAP.

The feedback will also enable Council to determine priorities for activities that build on the community’s knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander history, culture and acknowledgement in Glen Eira.

Any suggestions in the feedback that are not reflected in Council’s RAP will be referenced for consideration in future reconciliation planning stages.

Council will continue to work closely with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and community members to build relationships and opportunities that foster reconciliation.
