Caulfield Park Neighbourhood Activity Centre — Draft Built Form Framework

A Caulfield Park Neighbourhood Activity Centre — Draft Built Form Framework is now available for your feedback.

A draft Built Form Framework has been developed for the Caulfield Park shopping strip area. The draft Framework looks at relevant planning policy and the strategic role of the Centre and considers the existing buildings in Caulfield Park. Based on this review, draft recommendations are then made for acceptable size, shape and features of future buildings.

These recommendations aim to serve as a starting point for a process of developing and seeking authorisation to implement, new planning controls for the Glen Eira Planning Scheme.

Controls provide us with more capacity to assess the suitability of applications for new buildings. Having planning controls in place will make it clear to owners, businesses, residents and the community about acceptable building form and design. They will also help us to retain local character, and ensure the Centre continues to be an enjoyable place to shop, live, work, and gather.

Feedback from the community is important to help us make sure we consider all issues and available information for Caulfield Park. Feedback will be used to review and refine the draft.

The consultation closes Monday 14 June 2021.
