2019–2020 Draft Annual Budget

Council’s 2019–2020 draft Annual Budget and Council and Community Plan (including the Strategic Resource Plan) is available for public comment.

We are confident that this Budget not only continues the effort that has commenced in recent years, but also provides the necessary investment for a successful future.

We are committed to delivering good value for money to you — our community. We will continue to deliver the high quality services and projects that you already enjoy, and that together, make our City a great place to live.

In the draft 2019–20 Budget, we have allocated $41.02 million for asset renewals, upgrades and expansions, including the implementation of our Integrated Transport Strategy; open space initiatives; building improvements; community safety projects; and the renewal and upgrade of Council’s major infrastructure assets such as footpaths, drains and roads.

The draft Budget also includes information regarding your rates and residential garbage charges.

As part of the Budget process, we will be hosting an online chat with Glen Eira Mayor Cr Jamie Hyams on Thursday 16 May from 6pm to 7pm via Council’s What’s on in Glen Eira(External link) Facebook page. If you have any questions regarding the draft Budget, we encourage you to visit our Facebook page and sign up to this event.

An information session will also be held on Monday 20 May from 6.30pm at Glen Eira Town Hall.

The opportunity to provide feedback closes on Thursday 6 June 2019.

Submissions received to the proposed Budget and Council Plan will be heard by Council at an Ordinary Council Meeting on Tuesday 11 June.
