The Reporting Racism Tool provided by the Commission to support Victorians in understanding and standing up for their rights.
The tool has been designed to make the process of reporting to the Commission easier and more accessible for everyone. If you are confronted with bigotry, discrimination and/or racism, you can make a short, confidential report directly to the Commission through this tool.
Making a report is not the same as lodging a complaint but if you leave your email contact, an Information and Engagement Officer will contact you to discuss your report.
If the issue you’ve reported is covered by legislation, the Commission will advise the person of their rights to make a complaint to access our dispute resolution service. To make a complaint, the Commission can offer assistance to complete a complaint form.

The Commission recognises there can be language barriers for those who may be most at risk of racism receiving information about their rights and how to get help. They have partnered with the National Ethnic and Multicultural Broadcasters' Council to produce 24 in-language “How to Report Racism” audio clips. These clips are available to download from the Commission's Reducing Racism Resource page.
