Notice is hereby given pursuant to sections 91, 93 and 94 of the Local Government Act 2020 that Glen Eira City Council (Council) has prepared a draft 2021–22 Budget (Budget), developed a draft 2021–22 to 2030–31 Long-Term Financial Plan (Financial Plan) and prepared a draft 2021–22 to 2024–25 Revenue and Rating Plan (Revenue and Rating Plan).
The Budget; the Financial Plan and the Revenue and Rating Plan are available to view and download on Council’s website from Thursday 6 May 2021 up to and including Friday 4 June 2021.
Information sessions on the Budget; the Financial Plan and the Revenue and Rating Plan will be held for the public on Monday 24 May 2021 at Glen Eira Town Hall — Caulfield Cup Room and Monday 31 May 2021 via Zoom both from 6pm to 7pm.
Under section 96(2) of the Local Government Act 2020, any person has a right to make a submission on any proposal contained in Budget under section 223 of the Local Government Act 1989.
Any person may make a submission on any proposal contained in the Financial Plan and the Revenue and Rating Plan.
Written submissions submitted under section 223 of the Local Government Act 1989 or on the Financial Plan or Revenue and Rating Plan must be received by Council before 5pm on Friday 4 June 2021.
Submissions should be sent to Glen Eira City Council, PO Box 42 Caulfield South 3162 and addressed to the Chief Financial Officer or emailed to jvastianos@gleneira.vic.gov.au
Submissions in writing may also be delivered to Council’s Service Centre, corner Glen Eira and Hawthorn Roads, Caulfield.

Council will consider any written submissions relating to the Budget in accordance with section 223 of the Local Government Act 1989. Council will also consider any submissions on the Financial Plan and the Revenue and Rating Plan in accordance with Council’s Community Engagement Policy.
Submissions are not confidential and:
Any person who has made a written submission under section 223 of the Local Government Act 1989 to Council in relation to the Budget; the Financial Plan; and Revenue and Rating Plan in accordance with Council’s Community Engagement Policy and has requested to be heard in support of their written submission is entitled to appear in person, or to be represented by a person specified in the submission, at a Special Council Meeting on Tuesday 15 June 2021 commencing at 7.30pm.

Subject to any amendments resulting from the submissions received by Council, the Budget; the Financial Plan; and the Revenue and Rating Plan will be considered for adoption at the Ordinary Council Meeting on Tuesday 29 June 2021.
