In this together is the theme for National Reconciliation Week (NRW) 2020.
Taking place between 27 May and 3 June, NRW is an opportunity for all Australians to learn about and reflect on our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in our community.
To celebrate NRW and Indigenous culture, Council invites you, your family and friends to join us for an afternoon of entertainment and learnings about the importance of Reconciliation Week. The event will take place online on Sunday 31 May from 3pm to 5.30pm and can be viewed from the comfort of your own home.
Opening the event will be a Welcome to Country and smoking ceremony from David Tournier from the Boon Wurrung Foundation, along with a live bush tukka and flora and fauna presentation with Cassie Leatham. Also joining us for an afternoon of live music will be singer-songwriter Pirritu performing his beautiful music and songs.
To register for this event, email your name to arts@gleneira.vic.gov.au or like our Facebook page.
