Get Vaxxed Glen Eira!

Council has launched its #GETVAXXEDGLENEIRA campaign to encourage all Glen Eira residents who are eligible to get vaxxed as soon as they can.

Over the coming months, we are asking Glen Eira residents to get vaxxed for themselves, their family and their community and we’ll be sharing their photos along with a quote across our socials to help encourage those that haven’t already, to do the same thing.

To be featured on our socials, use #GETVAXXEDGLENEIRA on Instagram and Facebook and help us spread the word! We are also launching some incentives for getting vaccinated in the coming weeks, so keep an eye out on our socials and website for further details.

Glen Eira Mayor Cr Margaret Esakoff said the COVID-19 vaccine is safe, free and effective and everyone over the age of 16 is now eligible to book their first and second vaccination.

“The best vaccine you can get is the one that you can get now,” she said.

“Getting vaccinated against COVID-19 protects you, your loved ones and our whole community — so get vaxxed Glen Eira and spread the word.

“There are thousands of appointments available at state-run vaccination hubs across Melbourne in the next few weeks, including at Sandringham Hospital and Sandown Racecourse, which is also now home to a new drive-through site.”

People who have a pre-existing medical condition and/or disability are encouraged to book their COVID-19 vaccine with their GP.
