The Employee Assist Program (EAP) sponsored by Glen Eira Council is now available for employees and volunteers of our small and medium-sized community groups and organisations as part of our COVID-19 Response and Recovery Plan.
Our EAP provider ‘Converge’ will provide counselling services to employees and volunteers of small and medium-sized community groups and organisations who operate within Glen Eira City Council or provide community-based services to people living in Glen Eira. 
The EAP is a free, professional and confidential, self-referral counselling service for Glen Eira community groups and organisations which provides professional short-term assistance for any personal or work-related problem.
Converge International is an independent, external provider who specialises in counselling and Employee Assistance Programs. The team at Converge is comprised of psychologists, counsellors and social workers who are experts in their field. Each one is nationally qualified and accredited with extensive training and experience.
The program is available for two sessions in total, of either the Employee Assist or Money Assist streams to any employee or volunteer of a small to medium-sized community group.
The sessions can be accessed by calling 1300 687 327 and making an appointment under Glen Eira Community Groups and Organisations.
Privacy will be assured at all times. All private information remains with the counsellor and will not be provided to Council or a third party.
- Less than 100 employees or volunteers (does not include service members/clients); e.g a local community-based kindergarten, community house; local church parish; local community information referral service etc.
- Provides community-based service provision within Glen Eira or for the residents of Glen Eira.
