Volunteers honoured in 2022

This year’s National Volunteer Week theme is ‘Better Together’. It recognises the way volunteering brings people together and helps build communities to create a better society for everyone. Volunteers are community-builders – they provide a bridge to greater social connections and social cohesion which is so crucial for our society. Glen Eira has a strong volunteering community that play such a vital role in the lives of so many people.

Council hosted its annual Community Awards 2022 on Thursday 19 May at two events at Glen Eira Town Hall. As part of the events, Council presented its Volunteer Recognition Program Certificates of Appreciation to 124 local volunteers.
