Tips, transfer stations and drop-off locations

Many recyclable materials are accepted for free at our local tips and transfer stations. Other items may have costs associated with them. Please contact the site if you wish to check fees.

e-waste drop-off locations

E-waste, or electronic waste refers to electronic products that are no longer wanted or working.

From 1 July 2019, e-waste will be banned from landfills. Mobile phones, small electrical appliances and their cords, light globes, batteries, DVDs and x-rays can now be dropped off at our e-waste collection stations at our libraries:

They are taken away where reusable parts are salvaged, and the rest is safely disposed of. You can also donate unwanted electrical items in working order to opportunity shops. Larger electronic equipment such as televisions, microwaves and white goods can be disposed through our hard rubbish collection service.

For more information on the e-waste visit:

Each site only accepts domestic quantities. None of these sites accept asbestos.
