Join us to celebrate NAIDOC Week

Because of her, we can! is the theme for 2018.

Council will be running an art project which will involve an art installation of different and colourful tidda baskets. Gunditjmara artist and master weaver Bronwyn Razem will showcase her work in Council’s Gallery Annexe between 11 and 29 July.

All visitors, male and female, who attend the exhibition will be invited to create a special blessing to honour and acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women in times past and in society today.

Please note: the art installation and exhibition have been approved by N’arweet Carolyn Briggs, traditional owner — Boon Wurrung language group.
