Tell us your vision for East Village

Published on 15 March 2017

East Village is a large area of industrial land on the south eastern corner of North and East Boundary Roads. It consists of the former Bosch Brakes Factory, the Virginia Park Business Centre and a number of smaller parcels of land which together add up to approximately 24 hectares in area.

Council has recently adopted to partner with the Victorian Planning Authority to develop a future plan for this renewal area. As you may be aware a rezoning attempt was undertaken of just the Virginia Park Estate in July 2015 where Council at that time resolved to abandon the proposed amendment.

We are aware that the land owners have been consulting on their plans throughout 2016 and we have read the community feedback.

In order to form a community vision and key objectives for the precinct we will be conducting our own community consultation. This will inform the development of a Structure Plan which will guide what can be built on the site.

Please visit to complete a short survey and tell us what you want the East Village site to be like in the future. The survey runs from Saturday 11 March to Sunday 9 April.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact the City Futures department on 9524 3333.

We look forward to receiving your feedback to help shape the future of East Village.
