Community Information and Support Victoria (CISVic)
Community Information and Support Victoria (CISVic) is a community-based information and referral service staffed by trained personnel, the majority of whom are volunteers. It is a not-for-profit organisation that is responsible for community information services throughout Victoria. The centre offers a personal information service in a supportive and informal setting and when required can refer clients to other appropriate local community services.
The centre distributes emergency relief to local residents in need of financial aid and the bulk of funds distributed comes from the Department of Family and Community Services.

Services that are provided by CISVic:
Information and referral
Trained volunteers provide specialist information and referral to public community services.
Information given includes areas such as community affairs, income and assistance in obtaining other basic living essentials.
Referral can be made to health, welfare, financial counselling, housing and support agencies if appropriate.
Assistance is provided to local residents in need of relief from poverty, sickness, suffering, distress, misfortune, destitution or helplessness. Assistance is provided in the form of non-perishable food and food vouchers. Referrals can be made for some other types of material aid such as furniture.
Donations from local community groups and individuals to this service are highly appreciated.
Volunteer Resource Service
The Volunteer Resource Service provides a focal point for volunteering in Glen Eira.
Potential volunteers can access current information on local volunteering opportunities and information on volunteering.
The Service also facilitates a network of managers of local volunteer employing agencies and provides training sessions for volunteers.
Tax Help is provided between July and October by volunteers trained by the Australian Taxation Office. This service provides assistance to fill in simple tax returns for those on low incomes.
