Glen Eira City Council’s highly successful Winter Music Series is back for 2008. The Series, features a diverse range of music from pop through to classical, jazz and world music. Take a trip though the golden age of French musette, swing jazz and chanson on 15 June with Melbourne based trio, Belle Musette. Belle Musette will recreate the music and enchantment of the Parisian café scene from the 1920s–1940s. The Stiletto Sisters, who will perform on 29 June, are a dynamic and vibrant trio featuring the sparkling eyes and ready smiles of Hope Csutoros on violin, Judy Gunson on piano accordion and double bassist, Jo To. Other concerts in the series include The Pianist and the Diva on 13 July, Lisa Young Quartet on 27 July, Stephen Cummings on 10 August and Bric a Brac on 24 August.

Special four-year-old immunisation session

These immunisations should be given as soon as a child has their fourth birthday. Glen Eira City Council's Immunisation Service is offering special immunisation sessions for four-year-old children during 2008.
All four-year-old children receiving their immunisation will receive a free show bag. Face painting, balloons and magic tricks will keep the kids entertained.
Explore the art of editing and getting published in a workshop full of tips and strategies for the budding author with Rosemary Noble (McGraw-Hill Publishing) and Emma Schwarcz (senior Editor Hardie Grant Books).
