Make a payment
We offer several options for making a payment, depending on the type of payment you need to make.
To pay your footpath permit renewal you will need your 4 digit permit number and your 6 digit payment reference number.
You will need your infringement number to make a payment. Please note infringements issued in the last three days may not be available for online payment.
To pay your rates you will need your 13 digit reference number (without spaces) located next to the BPay logo or on your Council invoice to make a payment.
To pay your invoice for facility bookings, open space bookings, child care, aged care, community services, you will need your 13 digit reference number (without spaces) located next to the BPay logo or on your Council invoice to make a payment.
To pay your animal renewal registration you will need your 13 digit reference number (without spaces) located next to the BPay logo or on your Council invoice to make a payment.
Please note all payments are processed in Australian Dollars (AUD).

Payment by direct debit can be arranged by completing and returning a Direct Debit Request Form to:

For your protection and compliance with the Payment Card Data Security Standard, your email will not be accepted if forms are submitted with credit card details included.
Rates by direct debit — 10 monthly payment option
Make paying your Glen Eira City Council rates and charges simple and more manageable.
With our direct debit option, 10 equal instalment payments are deducted from your credit card or nominated bank account on the first working day of the month commencing in September.

Remember, once registered there is no need to keep track of due dates or worry about late payments.
Any amendments to account details need to be received on the Direct Debit Request form at least 14 days before the next debit day. In the event that ratepayers wish to cancel their direct debit arrangement with us, written authority needs to be received at least 14 days before the next debit day.

*** If you are already on direct debit from your bank account there is no need to reapply unless you wish to switch to credit card or if your bank account details have changed you will need to reapply using this form.

- child care.

Payments can be made by the following methods:
- by calling 03 9200 8210 with Visa or MasterCard only;
- by mail — send a cheque or money order to GPO Box 1941, Melbourne, 3001 (please do not send cash through the mail); and
- in person (prior to the due date) at Australia Post or at Council’s Service Centre, Glen Eira Town Hall, corner Hawthorn and Glen Eira Roads, Caulfield.
