Emergency management

The Victorian Emergency Management Act 1986 requires each municipal council to prepare and maintain a Municipal Emergency Management Plan (MEMP). Our MEMP focuses on how to prevent, prepare and respond to and recover from emergencies within the municipality.

Our MEMP has been developed in consultation with representatives from a number of key emergency services agencies and local service providers.

The MEMP is available to download below or for viewing at the following locations:

  • Caulfield Library — corner Glen Eira and Hawthorn Roads, Caulfield
  • Elsternwick Library — 4 Staniland Grove, Elsternwick
  • Bentleigh Library — 161 Jasper Road, Bentleigh
  • Carnegie Library — 7 Shepparson Avenue, Carnegie
