Bailey Reserve

This is a large, popular sports reserve and is also home to the Glen Eira Skate Park and Glen Eira Sports and Aquatic Centre.

Bailey Reserve Oval 1 is closed for construction works. This includes oval reconstruction, drainage, irrigation upgrades and sportsground resurfacing. Following establishment of the new turf, the fencing will be removed. It is expected to reopen in spring 2018 (weather dependent). Also at Bailey Reserve, the skate park will be closed for redevelopment from March to spring 2018. All other facilities within the reserve will continue to operate without change.

Dog leash information

Please note: the northern end of Bailey Reserve is on-leash. The southern end of Bailey Reserve is off-leash.

  • Glen Eira has designated areas (marked with green off-leash signs) in some parks that are off-leash areas.
  • Dogs must be on-leash at all times outside of your home unless within an off-leash area.
  • Dogs must also be under effective voice control at all times and kept on a leash that does not exceed 1.5 metres in length when within 20 metres of barbecues and picnic areas, children's playgrounds, sporting events, sportsground preparation and organised public meetings.
