School projects being assessed by the Planning Minister - Building and Education Revolution program (BER)  Printer Friendly
 

The Commonwealth Government’s $42 billion Nation Building Economic Stimulus Plan includes the Building and Education Revolution program (BER).

Through the BER, the Commonwealth and State Governments aims to provide economic stimulus through the rapid construction and refurbishment of school infrastructure.

All Victorian planning schemes have been amended to exempt non-government school proposals that have Commonwealth funding from needing planning permission.

Either a private building surveyor, or the Planning Minister decides on the proposal.

Proposals with the Planning Minister:

 
  St Peter’s Primary School – Florence Street, Bentleigh East
  St Anthony’s Primary School – 172 Neerim Road, Carnegie (cnr Grange)
  St Paul’s Primary School – 122 Jasper Road, Bentleigh
  Sholem Aleichem College – 11 Sinclair Street, Elsternwick
  St Aloysius Roman Catholic School - 233 Balaclava Road, Caulfield North
  Shelford Girls Grammar - 3 Hood Crescent, Caulfield/Helenslea Building
  Shelford Girls Grammar – 3 Hood Street, Caulfield/Performing Arts Building
  St Patrick's Primary School - 3 Dalny Road, Murrumbeena
  Beth Rivkah Ladies College - 10-12 Balaclava Road, St Kilda East
  St Joseph’s Primary School – 28 Sandham Street, Elsternwick
