Save the date: Carols in the Park 2017
Published on 13 November 2017
Play, sing, dance and rejoice along with Sam Moran, when the former Yellow Wiggle brings his special Christmas show to Glen Eira on Saturday 9 December.
Sam and his dancers will entertain kids and adults alike at Council’s annual Carols in the Park at Bentleigh Hodgson Reserve, Higgins Road, Bentleigh.
Leading Australian opera singer and Madama Butterfly star Antoinette Halloran will be another of this year’s highlight acts when she sings everyone’s Christmas family favourites in her glorious signature soprano.
Actor/singer Spencer McLaren (The Secret Life of Us, Tomorrow When the War Began) will host the evening’s festivities, which will run from 5.30pm to 8pm.
Sam, Antoinette and Spencer will be joined by the Australian Girls’ Choir, the City of Glen Eira Band, The Ice King and Queen, and a secret special guest in a red and white suit.
Children’s craft activities including making reindeer antlers, pretty food parcels, and tree decorations — in addition to some festive face painting — will return to this year’s event, along with food and drink vendors.
More than 6,500 people attended last year’s spectacular, so bring your picnic blanket and settle in for a merry night of entertainment and Christmas spirit.
