We maintain nearly 833 kilometres of kerb consisting of concrete and bluestone. Kerb and channel can vary — they may consist of barrier, semi-mountable and mountable kerbs.
We regularly use street sweeping machines to prevent the build-up of leaves and debris in the channels.
Kerb and channels are also part of our drainage net work and direct stormwater runoff in to our underground pits and pipes.
Asset Consent Permit (Link) should be obtained from us prior stormwater connection to kerb and channel.
