Household garbage

Household garbage is collected weekly. Bins should be placed on the nature strip the night before the collection. Only material inside bins will be collected.

These items should be placed into your garbage bin:

• nappies - (wrapped);
• food waste;
• plastic plant pots (larger than 10cm in diameter);
• window glass, mirrors, Pyrex, ceramics, and light globes (wrapped); and
• other plastics including film, wrap, and plastic packaging.

These items should not be placed into your garbage bin:

• green waste;
• recyclables;
• syringes;
• building material or hot ashes;
• bricks, rubble or heavy timber;
• hazardous liquids or chemical waste ;
• paint, pesticides, oil or solvents;
• Plastic bottles and food containers displaying the plastic identification codes 1 to 9
